The Most Reverend Harry J. Flynn, Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis (right), talks with the Apostolic Nuncio, The Most Reverend Gabriel Montalvo, the personal representative of the Holy Father to the United States, prior to the Cardinals Dinner Liturgy at the Cathedral of Saint Paul.


Archbishop Flynn, the host of the 2004 dinner, was the principal celebrant at the Cardinals Dinner Liturgy. Very Reverend David M. O'Connell, C.M. (right), President of The Catholic University of America, was the homilist.


Archbishop Montalvo was escorted into the Minneapolis Grand Ballroom by CUA senior, Eileen Cahill of Middletown, New Jersey.


Archbishop Flynn was escorted by Jonathan Halbach, a CUA senior who hails from Minneapolis!

The American Cardinals, along with President O'Connell and Archbishop Flynn (standing, center and right-center, respectively). The Apostolic Nuncio is standing left-center.


His Eminence, William Cardinal Keeler, posed with Martha Hale, Dean of CUA's School of Library and Information Science, immediately following the dinner.


The Most Reverend William E. Lori, Bishop of Bridgeport and Chairman of the CUA Board of Trustees, reads the American Cardinals Encouragement Award Citation.

Attendees at the Fifteenth American Cardinals Dinner danced away the night at the conclusion of the formal program.
