Fourteenth American Cardinals Dinner

His Eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington and Chancellor of the University, welcomes the dinner guests.


Most Reverend William J. Levada, Archbishop of San Francisco, was the host of the 2003 dinner and the principal celebrant at the Cardinals Dinner Liturgy.


The ballroom of the Fairmont San Francisco was decorated to show the famous skyline of the “City by the Bay.”


The magnificent Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption was the site of the Liturgy.


The American Cardinals, along with President O’Connell, Archbishop Levada (standing, center left and right, respectively) and the Apostolic Nuncio, His Excellency the Most Reverend Gabriel Montalvo (seated, far right).


The Cardinals are escorted to the Fairmont Ballroom.
